You could see the war room lean forward. Barrett Carter at the Round 5 slot is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. They will need Revel Jr. to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.
They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

A reach on Shavon Revel Jr. in slot 16; the board had better options right there. A minor itch, scratched.
Tyler Booker at pick 47 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Deone Walker in No. 78 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A need, and now a little less of one.
They barely believed it either: Demetrius Knight Jr. still on the board at the Round 4 slot. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Barrett Carter at the 151st overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
