The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Cardinals watched Cam Skattebo slide 37 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 16 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Kenneth Grant at the 47th overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The roster fit checks out.
They did well to land Jayden Higgins in the Round 3 slot, just ahead of his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Steal is underselling it; Sebastian Castro at the 113th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It adds depth where they could use a little.
They will replay Cam Skattebo at Round 5, Pick 14 for years; that is how good the value is. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
