Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Dolphins never addressed quarterback, and it is the kind of gap that lingers. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
Getting Hadden where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Every board in the league had Keegan lower, and that gap is the story.
Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
A premium they did not need to pay, Tyler Guyton a notch or two before his time. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Kingsley Suamataia in pick 60 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in pick No. 66 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
By-the-book stuff, DeWayne Carter at the 104th pick squarely in line with his ranking. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Circle this one: Kamal Hadden at Round 5, Pick 23 is a fall that decides a draft. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
No edge and no loss on Josh Proctor in the Round 6 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. A minor itch, scratched.
Trevor Keegan at pick 243 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
