The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Cardinals watched Lathan Ransom slide 43 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.
For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 16th overall pick they get a disruptor off the edge. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A straight-up fair deal on Aireontae Ersery at pick 47, value and slot in agreement. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Alfred Collins in the 78th pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
