Call it larceny. TreVeyon Henderson sat on the board until the Round 3 slot, and the Patriots did not need to be asked twice.
Parr has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 4 they get a premier pass rusher. The biggest hole, addressed.
A premium they did not need to pay, Aireontae Ersery a notch or two before his time. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Tre Harris in the 69th overall pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
TreVeyon Henderson in pick 90 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
The board fumbled Isaiah Bond all the way to No. 101, and they scooped it up. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They went early on Joshua Farmer in the 106th pick, and the value did not follow. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Malachi Moore in pick No. 144. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A conviction pick on Carson Vinson at slot 217 that the board grades a round light. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Luke Lachey slipping to No. 220 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Logan Parr this early at the Round 7 slot. A need, and now a little less of one.
