Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Cowboys spent the Round 7 slot on Eyabi Okie-Anoma, a name the board had a full 23 spots lower.
Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Coleman pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.
Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.

In the 24th overall pick they get a building block for the line at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Keon Coleman at pick 56 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
