The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Cowboys watched Jaylin Simpson slide 79 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

The Wallace pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same. On the needs board they went 7 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
