The Cowboys treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending slot 244 on Solomon Byrd a full 45 spots early. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
That Frazier pick is the receipt they will wave around later. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 24 they get protection for the quarterback. The biggest hole, addressed.
Trey Benson in the 56th pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
The board fumbled Zach Frazier all the way to the 87th overall pick, and they scooped it up. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Nathaniel Watson at No. 174 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
M.J. Devonshire slid further than he should have, and pick No. 216 is lovely value for the cornerback. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They reached into another round for Joshua Cephus, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Value said wait; Solomon Byrd in Round 7, Pick 24 says they were not listening. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
