Boards are made to be trusted, and the Cardinals shredded theirs for Stone Handy. He came off 233 spots early, and the room will hear about it. Some smart calls, some head-scratchers, and a C in the wash.
The Williams value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 17th overall pick they get a plug-and-play piece up front. Exactly the need they had to hit.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Nazir Stackhouse. It fills a real need, too.
Stone Handy in No. 81 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Tyleik Williams at pick No. 117 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They reached into another round for Brady Cook, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
