Some hits, some head-scratchers, and a C for the Chargers.

There is reaching, and then there is Chop Robinson at the 5th overall pick. The Chargers jumped the board by 32 and dared it to prove them wrong.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Coker at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.5 · Pick 5 · Chop Robinson · DE-EDGE · rank 37
In slot 5 they get a disruptor off the edge, though the board says they badly overpaid. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
R2.5 · Pick 37 · Terrion Arnold · CB · rank 22
A slide stopped in the Round 2 slot, with Terrion Arnold worth more than the price. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R5.6 · Pick 142 · Dallin Holker · TE · rank 130
Dallin Holker at pick 142 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The roster fit checks out.
R6.8 · Pick 183 · Andrew Coker · OL · rank 161
The board fumbled Andrew Coker all the way to pick No. 183, and they scooped it up. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R7.6 · Pick 226 · Sheridan Jones · CB · rank 213
Sheridan Jones slipping to the 226th pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
