There is reaching, and then there is Chop Robinson at the 5th overall pick. The Chargers jumped the board by 32 and dared it to prove them wrong.
The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Coker at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.
Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 5 they get a disruptor off the edge, though the board says they badly overpaid. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A slide stopped in the Round 2 slot, with Terrion Arnold worth more than the price. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Dallin Holker at pick 142 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The roster fit checks out.
