The trade table was a mismatch, and the Chargers were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. The bottom line is a respectable B+.
That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.
The Chargers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 11 they get a true top target at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
No drama and no debate, Leonard Taylor III went about where he belonged in pick No. 37. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
