This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Jimmy Horn Jr., the No. 237 name on the board, stolen at the Round 7 slot. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. If Warren pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 32 they get a plug-and-play piece up front at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
No edge and no loss on Colston Loveland in pick 64; it is a wash and a sensible one. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
They took Jabbar Muhammad at par in Round 3, Pick 2, which is nothing to complain about. A minor need, but a need all the same.
The board had cheaper options than Tyler Warren at pick No. 96, and it noticed. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Elic Ayomanor in slot 133 is fair value, right on his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Nick Martin in the 168th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
