Thirty-one other rooms let TreVeyon Henderson slide, and the Chiefs were the ones holding the card at pick 132. Highway robbery.
The Dellinger reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The Mukuba pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at wide receiver, quarterback and other spots.
The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
They paid up for Xavier Watts at slot 39 when waiting would have done the job. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
The needs board was loud and they turned it down, spending pick 64 on Andrew Mukuba with wide receiver, quarterback and other spots unsolved.
Steal is underselling it; Jihaad Campbell at pick No. 66 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Value said wait; Hollin Pierce in the Round 3 slot says they were not listening. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
No drama and no debate, Mason Taylor went about where he belonged in the 96th overall pick. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
TreVeyon Henderson in the 132nd pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Danny Stutsman in pick 150 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Garrett Dellinger in Round 6, Pick 12 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
