The rest of the league will want that one back. Tyler Nubin tumbling to the Chiefs in the 63rd overall pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get an anchor for the defensive front at a price that makes it sweeter.
A safety of that caliber at the 63rd pick is the definition of value, full stop. A minor itch, scratched.
A slide stopped in No. 94, with Roman Wilson worth more than the price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Javon Foster in Round 4, Pick 31. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Jaylen Wright in pick 161 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Value with a capital V on LaDarius Henderson in the 171st overall pick, a genuine coup. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
They took Curtis Jacobs at par in pick No. 175, which is nothing to complain about. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
No edge and no loss on Myles Jones in slot 209; it is a wash and a sensible one. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Walter Rouse at slot 252 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
