You build a draft on nights like this. Kalen King had no business being available in the 172nd pick, and the Chiefs did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Amarius Mims slipping to the 32nd overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A quiet steal in the 64th pick: T.J. Tampa for less than the market said. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
They robbed the room for Xavier Legette here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
