The Bears spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Anthony Hill Jr., the No. 38 name on the board, in the 60th pick. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
They will need Moten to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.
They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get juice off the edge, even if it was a touch early. The biggest hole, addressed.
Good price on Emmanuel McNeil-Warren in Round 2, Pick 25, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A minor need, but a need all the same.
They will replay Anthony Hill Jr. at the 60th pick for years; that is how good the value is. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Deion Burks in pick No. 89 is fair value, right on his grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They took Parker Brailsford at par in pick 129, which is nothing to complain about. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
