If confidence were a draft strategy, the Bears would have aced it. Zion Logue at the 189th pick is 53 spots clear of where he belonged. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.
Whatever Caleb Williams becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down.
For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. Landing McMillan that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

Jalen McMillan at the 110th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Cam Hart at pick 143 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Julian Pearl slid further than he should have, and slot 185 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Christian Jones at the 186th overall pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Value said wait; Zion Logue in slot 189 says they were not listening. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
