Somebody in pick No. 132 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Chiefs sat still while Jaden Hicks, the No. 85 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
The McGregor reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
