There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Chiefs started one anyway for Vernon Broughton, 47 picks ahead of schedule. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Watts pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.
On the needs board they went 2 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.
