Somebody in the 242nd pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Chiefs sat still while Nicholas Singleton, the No. 104 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
They will regret leaving offensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the offensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 32 they get a matchup problem out wide at a price that makes it sweeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Circle this one: Harold Fannin Jr. at slot 64 is a fall that decides a draft. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Alfred Collins in pick 68. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Nothing to complain about; Danny Stutsman went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
