The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Emani Bailey, pick No. 250, roughly 52 picks past where he belonged. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it. The Jefferson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

In slot 32 they get an island corner at fair value. More want than need.
They read the board right and Kiran Amegadjie was the payoff at pick No. 64. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Johnny Wilson in the 95th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Leonard Taylor III at No. 133 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Cedric Gray at Round 5, Pick 22 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They liked Jordan Jefferson enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 172. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A slide stopped in the Round 6 slot, with Josh Proctor worth more than the price. A minor need, but a need all the same.
They will replay Emani Bailey at the 250th pick for years; that is how good the value is. It fills a real need, too.
