The Chiefs clearly saw something nobody else did in Garret Greenfield, taking him 43 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced.
The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. On value alone, Holker makes the weekend a net positive.
On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 32 they get a No. 1 receiver. The biggest hole, addressed.
Braden Fiske at Round 2, Pick 32 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A need, and now a little less of one.
They went early on Zak Zinter in pick No. 95, and the value did not follow. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Nehemiah Pritchett at No. 132 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
A slide stopped in the Round 5 slot, with Dallin Holker worth more than the price. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Garret Greenfield. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
