Boyd has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Pritchett.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
A straight-up fair deal on Xavier Worthy at the 52nd pick, value and slot in agreement. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Xavier Legette at No. 55 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Kiran Amegadjie at the Round 2 slot jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They paid sticker price for Patrick Paul in pick 64, and that is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Jaden Hicks slid further than he should have, and slot 89 is lovely value for the safety. A minor need, but a need all the same.
They paid a round early for Tyler Davis in pick No. 110, more than the board wanted. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
James Williams at the 118th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
No edge and no loss on Javon Foster in Round 4, Pick 22; it is a wash and a sensible one. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
No drama and no debate, Ben Sinnott went about where he belonged in pick 126. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Kalen King in the Round 4 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They paid up for Tommy Eichenberg at slot 135 when waiting would have done the job. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Khristian Boyd in No. 153 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They will replay Nehemiah Pritchett at the 154th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Joe Milton III at Round 5, Pick 37 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A need, and now a little less of one.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Kendall Milton at pick No. 199 is the proof. The roster fit checks out.
They let Jaylan Ford come to them and pounced at the 206th pick. It fills a real need, too.
