This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Roger Rosengarten, the No. 135 name on the board, stolen at the 159th pick.
That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Reaching for Worthy left real value on the table behind him. The trade work was a quiet net positive.
They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 32 they get a difference-maker at receiver at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Xavier Worthy in the Round 2 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
DeWayne Carter at slot 95 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A need, and now a little less of one.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Elijah Jones in pick 132. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Steal is underselling it; Roger Rosengarten at No. 159 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Kitan Oladapo at pick No. 160 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the safety. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
