You build a draft on nights like this. Jalon Walker had no business being available in Round 3, Pick 31, and the Chiefs did the only sane thing and turned in the card. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
The Morris reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 31st overall pick they get a blindside protector. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Nick Emmanwori in No. 63 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
The board had cheaper options than Tate Ratledge at the Round 3 slot, and it noticed. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
