The Chargers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Leonard Taylor III, the No. 112 name on the board, in Round 5, Pick 6. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Dawson Knox pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 28 they get an anchor for the offensive line. A real need, handled.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Tyler Nubin in the Round 2 slot. A minor need, but a need all the same.
No drama and no debate, Jonathon Brooks went about where he belonged in pick No. 60. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in No. 69 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
A tidy little value on Jacob Cowing in pick 105, a step better than break-even. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
