The Cardinals treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending the 113th overall pick on Shemar Turner a full 57 spots early. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
On value alone, Walker makes the weekend a net positive. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 16th pick they get an anchor for the offensive line, though they paid up to get him. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Jalon Walker in the 47th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It fills a real need, too.
Riley Leonard at slot 78 is a conviction pick that outran the value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Value said wait; Shemar Turner in the Round 4 slot says they were not listening. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jaylin Noel in pick 151. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
