This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Ja'Tavion Sanders, the No. 36 name on the board, stolen at No. 87. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. The Rattler reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 24 they get protection for the quarterback. A real need, handled.
By-the-book stuff, Ladd McConkey at slot 34 squarely in line with his ranking. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
You do not let an offensive lineman like Amarius Mims reach Round 2, Pick 24 and blink. They did not. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Cooper DeJean in the 68th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A minor itch, scratched.
Somehow Ja'Tavion Sanders was still sitting there in the 87th pick, and they pounced on premier tight end value. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Spencer Rattler in pick No. 103 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Steal is underselling it; Isaiah Adams at No. 180 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Marist Liufau at the Round 6 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
