This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Pat Bryant, the No. 140 name on the board, stolen at the 219th overall pick. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
Mason Graham in the 4th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Emeka Egbuka at the Round 2 slot is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Jonah Savaiinaea at pick 69 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They barely believed it either: Xavier Watts still on the board at Round 3, Pick 13. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Steal is underselling it; Darien Porter at slot 105 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
The board fumbled Cam Skattebo all the way to No. 145, and they scooped it up. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They will replay Pat Bryant at pick No. 219 for years; that is how good the value is. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Jack Kiser in the 222nd overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
