The Eagles lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
The Wilson steal is the beam this whole class leans on. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. They will need Raym to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
T.J. Tampa at No. 50 is money in the bank, a cornerback taken below his worth. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Edgerrin Cooper at the 54th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Roman Wilson slipping to slot 97 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Audric Estime at the 105th overall pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The roster fit checks out.
Cedric Gray at the Round 5 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
By-the-book stuff, LaDarius Henderson at pick No. 163 squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A straight-up fair deal on Nathan Thomas at Round 5, Pick 36, value and slot in agreement. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A premium they did not need to pay, Andrew Raym a notch or two before his time. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
