The Stutsman value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 4 they get a three-down runner. A real need, handled.
Aireontae Ersery at No. 38 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Jaylin Noel at slot 69 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A premium they did not need to pay, Ozzy Trapilo a notch or two before his time. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Danny Stutsman in Round 4, Pick 4 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
A big swing on KeAndre Lambert-Smith at the 145th overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Andrew Armstrong at pick No. 219 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A real head-scratcher, Jackson Woodard in slot 222 is miles ahead of his ranking. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Logan Parr at Round 7, Pick 22 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The roster fit checks out.
