They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Giants' quarterback, full stop. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Landing Robinson that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
The Proctor reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
Jayden Daniels in the Round 1 slot is fair value, right on his grade. The roster fit checks out.
No edge and no loss on Tyler Guyton in Round 2, Pick 7; it is a wash and a sensible one. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Chop Robinson at pick 47 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Brenden Rice at the 70th overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the wide receiver. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Khyree Jackson in the 108th pick. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Cedric Gray in slot 140 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A minor itch, scratched.
They liked Josh Proctor enough to skip the value, taking him in pick No. 185. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
