The Commanders put a flag in the ground for Cooper Beebe, 38 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. Just about everything broke right, and the A- follows.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. Spending an early pick on OLB-EDGE with wide receiver, quarterback and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

Phillips at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Bottom line, with Olumuyiwa Fashanu leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
