B
Washington Commanders
No fireworks, just a tidy B for the Commanders.

2026 NFL Draft
· 6 picks
· 3 steals
· 1 reaches
There is reaching, and then there is Fa'alili Fa'amoe at pick 223. The Commanders jumped the board by 33 and dared it to prove them wrong.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Gulbin. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
No edge and no loss on Carnell Tate in slot 7; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Steal is underselling it; Jacob Rodriguez at the 71st pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A minor itch, scratched.
Jakobe Thomas at the 147th overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the safety. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Domani Jackson is a better player than pick 187 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Matt Gulbin at pick No. 209 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They reached a country mile for Fa'alili Fa'amoe at the Round 7 slot, and the board is aghast. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
