The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Commanders spent their marquee pick on Bo Nix, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.
The phones were where this weekend was really won. However the rest shakes out, Corley at that price is a win they earned.
The Solomon pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with interior defensive lineman still on the board. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.
The Wiley reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
R1.6
· Pick 6
· Olumuyiwa Fashanu

In pick 6 they get an anchor for the offensive line. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
R1.26
· Pick 26
· Bo Nix

In No. 26 they get the face of the franchise at fair value. A real need, handled.
R2.2
· Pick 34
· Graham Barton
· OT
· rank 32
Graham Barton at the 34th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R2.4
· Pick 36
· Kamren Kinchens
· S
· rank 25
Kamren Kinchens at the 36th pick is money in the bank, a safety taken below his worth. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
R2.7
· Pick 39
· Chris Braswell
· LB-EDGE
· rank 34
A clean, defensible pick in slot 39 with a little surplus value in Chris Braswell. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R2.8
· Pick 40
· Jackson Powers-Johnson
· C
· rank 52
Jackson Powers-Johnson at pick No. 40 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R3.3
· Pick 67
· Cooper Beebe
· OG
· rank 78
A conviction pick on Cooper Beebe at the Round 3 slot that the board grades a round light. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R3.37
· Pick 100
· Javon Solomon
· OLB-EDGE
· rank 108
The eyebrow-raiser of the weekend. They went OLB-EDGE with Javon Solomon while clear needs at interior defensive lineman sat open.
R4.2
· Pick 102
· Malachi Corley
· WR
· rank 79
The board fumbled Malachi Corley all the way to pick 102, and they scooped it up. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R5.5
· Pick 141
· Kamal Hadden
· CB
· rank 134
Fair-plus on Kamal Hadden, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R6.6
· Pick 181
· Jared Wiley
· TE
· rank 196
A premium they did not need to pay, Jared Wiley a notch or two before his time. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R7.3
· Pick 223
· Jawhar Jordan
· RB
· rank 202
Jawhar Jordan at the Round 7 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
