If you want a masterclass in dealing, watch the Commanders, who turned every swap into a profit this weekend. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.
However the rest shakes out, Wease Jr. at that price is a win they earned. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a disruptive interior force, outstanding value to boot. A clean fit for the roster.
Tre Harris in the 61st overall pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Anthony Belton in pick No. 148 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A slide stopped in the 207th pick, with Roc Taylor worth more than the price. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A tidy little value on LaJohntay Wester in pick 238, a step better than break-even. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They will replay Theo Wease Jr. at No. 250 for years; that is how good the value is. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
