· 8 picks
· 4 steals
· 0 reaches
They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Commanders' quarterback, full stop.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Baker.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
A straight-up fair deal on Jayden Daniels at the 2nd pick, value and slot in agreement. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Jordan Morgan at pick No. 36 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They did well to land Ennis Rakestraw Jr. in pick 40, just ahead of his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Jaden Hicks at the Round 3 slot nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
They robbed the room for Christian Haynes here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A wide receiver of that caliber at slot 100 is the definition of value, full stop. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Value with a capital V on Jarrian Jones in Round 5, Pick 3, a genuine coup. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Taking Erick All in No. 152 is close to grand larceny; a tight end that good had no business lasting this long. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
