The Commanders did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Cody Simon fell into the Round 6 slot.
If Parker pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 29 they get an anchor for the offensive line, though the board says they badly overpaid. The biggest hole, addressed.
They paid sticker price for Alfred Collins in the Round 2 slot, and that is fine. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
