The Eagles cashed the board's mistake on Corley: B.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Malachi Corley, the No. 63 name on the board, stolen at the 129th pick.

Reaching for Gadsden II left real value on the table behind him. The Tampa pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with cornerback, edge rusher and other spots still on the board.

They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.32 · Pick 32 · Xavier Legette · WR · rank 14
In pick 32 they get a matchup problem out wide at a price that makes it sweeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
R2.29 · Pick 61 · T.J. Tampa · DB · rank 40
A curious use of the 61st overall pick. Cornerback, edge rusher and other spots needed the pick; a defensive back in T.J. Tampa did not.
R2.32 · Pick 64 · Patrick Paul · OT · rank 47
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Patrick Paul at the 64th pick is the proof. A need, and now a little less of one.
R3.29 · Pick 92 · Braelon Allen · RB · rank 77
Nice patience on Braelon Allen, who had no business lasting to pick No. 92. The roster fit checks out.
R4.29 · Pick 129 · Malachi Corley · WR · rank 63
Steal is underselling it; Malachi Corley at Round 4, Pick 29 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R5.1 · Pick 137 · Max Melton · DB · rank 98
Circle this one: Max Melton at slot 137 is a fall that decides a draft. The roster logic is harder to follow.
R5.11 · Pick 147 · Oronde Gadsden II · TE · rank 192
Value said wait; Oronde Gadsden II in the Round 5 slot says they were not listening. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R5.36 · Pick 172 · Will Shipley · RB · rank 165
Will Shipley in No. 172 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R6.3 · Pick 178 · Joe Milton III · QB · rank 136
They barely believed it either: Joe Milton III still on the board at the Round 6 slot. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R7.33 · Pick 253 · Carson Steele · RB · rank 234
Carson Steele at Round 7, Pick 33 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
