You build a draft on nights like this. Treydan Stukes had no business being available in the 116th overall pick, and the Seahawks did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

Spending an early pick on cornerback with edge rusher, linebacker and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.

Pick-by-Pick

R2.9 · Pick 41 · Brandon Cisse · CB · rank 36
A reasonable price with a little left over, Brandon Cisse in pick 41. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
R3.15 · Pick 79 · Zachariah Branch · WR · rank 60
A wide receiver of that caliber at pick No. 79 is the definition of value, full stop. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R3.32 · Pick 96 · Connor Lew · C · rank 82
The board had Connor Lew higher than Round 3, Pick 32, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R4.10 · Pick 110 · Emmett Johnson · RB · rank 104
A tidy little value on Emmett Johnson in No. 110, a step better than break-even. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R4.16 · Pick 116 · Treydan Stukes · CB · rank 96
A surprising call. With edge rusher, linebacker and other spots still to address, they spent the 116th pick on Treydan Stukes, a cornerback they were not short of.
R4.22 · Pick 122 · Bud Clark · S · rank 103
Bud Clark in the Round 4 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
R5.1 · Pick 141 · Jaeden Roberts · OG · rank 149
They jumped the gun on Jaeden Roberts, taking him earlier than his grade liked. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R6.7 · Pick 188 · Zane Durant · DT · rank 177
Zane Durant slid further than he should have, and the 188th overall pick is lovely value for the interior defensive lineman. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
