The Cowboys spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Kingsley Suamataia, the No. 54 name on the board, in pick 87. No fireworks, but a solid B.
For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a potential shutdown corner at a price that makes it sweeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They paid sticker price for T'Vondre Sweat in the 56th overall pick, and that is fine. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Kingsley Suamataia at slot 87 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Kris Abrams-Draine in the 124th pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
The board had Joe Milton III higher than Round 5, Pick 38, and the quarterback fell to them anyway. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.

Nathaniel Watson slipping to pick No. 245 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
