The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Cowboys watched Tyler Guyton slide 35 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They will need Nourzad to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

Brian Thomas Jr. at Round 1, Pick 32 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
T'Vondre Sweat slipping to slot 56 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Tyler Guyton at No. 64 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A tidy little value on Trey Benson in the Round 3 slot, a step better than break-even. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Hunter Nourzad at pick No. 138 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Marist Liufau slid further than he should have, and pick 174 is lovely value for the linebacker. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Somehow M.J. Devonshire was still sitting there in the 216th overall pick, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Caedan Wallace in the 226th pick. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Keith Randolph Jr. at the 233rd pick. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Myles Harden in pick No. 244 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
