The rest of the league had time to spare on Beaux Limmer; the Cowboys did not wait, grabbing him 40 spots ahead at pick 87.
However the rest shakes out, Rosemy-Jacksaint at that price is a win they earned. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 24 they get an anchor for the offensive line, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Value with a capital V on Jonathon Brooks in the Round 2 slot, a genuine coup. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Beaux Limmer in Round 3, Pick 24, miles early. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Ty'Ron Hopper in pick No. 174 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Johnny Dixon at the 216th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint in slot 233 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Evan Anderson at the Round 7 slot is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
