The Cowboys ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided.
It is not that Smith is a bad player; it is that the Cowboys had louder needs to answer first. They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it.
The Milton III steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
