The Cowboys torched the value chart for Zion Logue, taking him 42 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. Put together, it is a D-.
The whole projection now runs through Jayden Daniels; hit there and everything else looks smarter. The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through linebacker.
On value alone, Jones makes the weekend a net positive.
In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 3 they get the face of the franchise. A clean fit for the roster.
A reasonable price with a little left over, T.J. Tampa in the Round 2 slot. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Christian Haynes at the 68th pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Leonard Taylor III at the 87th overall pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. The roster fit checks out.
They went early on Cornelius Johnson in slot 174, and the value did not follow. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Caedan Wallace in pick 216 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Sheridan Jones in pick No. 233 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Zion Logue in Round 7, Pick 24 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
