The Cowboys torched the value chart for Austin Reed, taking him 58 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.
They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want.
Rosemy-Jacksaint at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 1 they get a difference-maker at receiver. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
In No. 10 they get a cornerstone up front at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
In the 24th pick they get a quarterback's worst nightmare at a price that makes it sweeter. More want than need.
