Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Cowboys.

There is a lot to like until you notice quarterback is still a hole. The Cowboys never got to the one that mattered most.
Every board in the league had Whittington lower, and that gap is the story. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 24 they get protection for the quarterback, even if it was a touch early. The biggest hole, addressed.
They paid sticker price for Payton Wilson in slot 56, and that is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
They took Trey Benson at par in No. 87, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A premium they did not need to pay, Jordan Jefferson a notch or two before his time. A need, and now a little less of one.
Caedan Wallace in pick 216 lands just on the right side of the ledger. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Jordan Whittington in the Round 7 slot is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Nothing to complain about; Daijahn Anthony went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
