Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Cowboys never addressed wide receiver, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.
That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.

In the 24th pick they get a long-term starter on the line. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Payton Wilson at Round 2, Pick 24. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Jaylen Wright at pick No. 87 is money in the bank, a running back taken below his worth. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
