The Eric Gregory selection is the head-turner. The Cowboys reached 102 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

The Smith pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
