The rest of the league will want that one back. Corey Kiner tumbling to the Patriots in Round 7, Pick 22 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. The Stutsman reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a press-man option on the boundary. Need was not the driver here.
Jonah Savaiinaea at Round 2, Pick 6 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A need, and now a little less of one.
Jack Bech at the 69th overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the wide receiver. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They paid a round early for Danny Stutsman in pick 77, more than the board wanted. A minor itch, scratched.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Sebastian Castro at pick No. 106. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Raheim Sanders at slot 144 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Jack Kiser in the 217th pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
They barely believed it either: JJ Pegues still on the board at No. 220. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Corey Kiner at slot 238 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
